Ordering

How can I place an order? 

You can order by phone, text, email, through our social media pages, or by filling out the form on the Contact page. Please note that orders are only requests and your order is confirmed once you receive a response. 

We would appreciate a minimum of one weeks' notice for orders, but we are a small operation and do book up quickly. Keep in mind that holiday seasons and special events are a busy time so place your order as early as possible to ensure that we can meet your request.

 

Is there a minimum order requirement?

Some of our items require you to order a minimum amount of products, such as cookies and cupcakes, but we are quite flexible and always willing to do what we can to make you happy!

How can I pick up and pay for my order?

Contact us for our address when you place your order. We are located in the Fleetwood area of Surrey, BC. We accept payment via cash or Interac e-transfer at the time of your pick up.

How much notice is required to order?

As a general rule, we require a minimum of 7 days' notice. If your order is large or highly creative, we appreciate as much notice as possible, even if you think it's too much notice, so we are able to consider all options and aspects of your order.

Cakes

Are your cakes made daily? 

All of our products are made fresh for your order.

What is the shelf life of your cakes? 

Cakes, cupcakes, and cake pops should be consumed within 3 days for best quality and freshness. We recommend storing these products in a container in the fridge. Cookies and dessert bars are best consumed within 5 days and we recommend storing these products in an airtight container.

What designs can I get on my cake? 

If you can dream it, we can design it! If you have a theme or idea for a design, we are happy to discuss it with you and make your cake dreams come to life. Fondant decoration and tiered cakes are done by special order and we appreciate a minimum of two weeks' notice. Take a look through our gallery or social media pages for inspiration, or contact us and let us help you design your dream cake.

Weddings

Do you do wedding orders? 

Yes! We would love to be a part of your special day. Whether it's creating the cake or your dreams or providing other baked goods and pastries, contact us to customize desserts for your wedding.

What can I expect when I order a wedding cake?

For wedding cake orders, we provide a complimentary take home sampler for taste testing with different flavour combinations. We will have your order ready the night before your event and can help with delivery and set up. We also offer stand rentals and table decorations for an additional cost.

Cupcakes and other small desserts are also popular and practical dessert options for your wedding. We can customize any dessert to coordinate with your wedding or event.

Miscellaneous

Do you deliver? 

Delivery can be arranged by request for an additional fee, dependent on location.

Do you make gluten-free products? 

Only our cakes and cupcakes are available as gluten-free options. We require a minimum of 10 days notice for gluten-free orders.

Do your products contain nuts? 

Our gluten-free cake and cupcakes options, as well as our Nanaimo bars and peanut butter cookies contain peanut and nut products. We can guarantee that there will be no contact between peanut products and your order if requested.

Can I get cookies in different shapes?

All of our sugar cookies can be customized to any shape, flavour, and colours. If you have a unique or custom request, please allow an additional 5 days notice for us to find a template and practice your design.

Do you offer eggless cakes?

Unfortunately at this time we do not offer eggless cakes as a part of our regular menu, but please inquire to see if that has changed and we will try our best to accommodate you.

Do you offer cupcakes for corporate events?

Of course! We would be happy to design cupcakes, a cake, or even cookies for your function. We offer discounts on large orders. Please contact us to discuss more details and pricing.

What are your hours and/or days?

Dakha's Desserts is a home business with a flexible schedule. We work any day of the week to meet your requests, but please keep in mind that we are a small business and our schedule fills up quickly!
